Running Wild

My feet fall heavy on the pavement,
Breathing in gasps.
I curse myself for immobility
And name myself: failure

Gradually gravity releases its grip.
Pain becomes mere discomfort.
Moments of strength emerge
And I can see a pinpoint of life ahead

One afternoon, released on the path,
I run Wild.
The wind, the rain, this hill
Throw down the gauntlet
And I will not relent.

1. I am named after Buddy Holly.
2. I am an insomniac.
3. I was run over by a truck and did not break a single bone.
4. I was a double major, religion and psychology (undergrad.)
5. No, they did not cancel each other out.

7. I have three boys and one girl child.
8. I am a Scorpio. Be afraid. Be excited.
9. I have never been arrested.
10. I am a cat person, but dogs are okay.

41. I do appreciate there are "grey" areas in life, but my intention is to live the "black" or the "white" of my beliefs.

43. My children are valued above all, and my friends are the rest of my family. I could not live without them.

45. So far I have been to 12 states.

59. I have discovered that i do not necessarily love all of those I have loved.

60. I want to learn how to knit.

61. i want to grow old with someone who wants the same and accepts me for who i am: as in, we just argue about cute things like toothpaste
