Our days sometimes hang upon the good and/or bad news of the day.
I have been thinking lately about waking up each day with a clean slate. Don't allow focus on the past, just on the present or perhaps the immediate future. After reading Dharma Road, it reminded me of a seminar on cognitive behavioral therapy I had a few years ago. The idea that you will encounter suffering/negativity in your life, but you do not have to attach yourself to it. Place it in a "boat" and let it "float" downstream out of your life. It is very hard to do at times, but I am going to continue practicing.
This week has been a day-to-day roller coaster. My intention is too keep moving forward.
Maybe I'll even start running again. ;)
